Cebu components Mrs. King's motor ship Pele, in the operation of which she had the principal role, produced uncounted thousands of shells in its career. Mrs. King distributed them among museums throughout the Indo-Pacific. Enough tribute simply cannot be paid to Mariel King, whose energy and enthusiasm made these invaluable collections possible. Cebu components The house foundations, cisterns and other ruins of the guano diggers (Feb., 1858 - July, 1879) are completely eradicated. Seeing all the damage caused by the fantastic power of the rampaging sea makes me glad to be still alive. We are uninjured. Our house is intact. Our food supplies mostly came through O.K. We still have about 300 gallons of water left, in five gallon cans and in our water tank. However we will have a lot of work to do to get back into operation, but that's what passes the time here. One comforting thought however cheers us. I don't believe we'll have another storm such as this while we are on Jarvis. Although the Island shows evidence of even worse storms in ages past, the guano digger's ruins had been standing for almost a hundred years until wiped out by this storm. Cebu components
