Natural coco fashion On the jetties my classmates and I found crabbed but fresh Phalium granulatum, Philippines shells collection fulvescens, Busycon contratium, B. spiratum plagosum, Strombus alatus, Melongena corona and Polinices duplicatus. Once a week we were able to make a trip out into the Gulf of Mexico aboard the Sea Lab's sixty-five foot research vessel G. A. Rounsefell. The trawl brought up shrimp, sea stars, fish and a few molluscs notably Distorsio clathrata, Turritella exoleta, Atrina serrata and a few Cancellaria species. The bottom grab occasionally brought up some very tiny tusk shells. Natural coco fashion
Natural coco fashion Back to the Canyon Off Pokai BayAfter more than two years on the Mainland, my diving partner, Loren Wilson, and I are back in Hawaii. Back to our submarine canyon off Pokai on the Leeward coast of Oahu (Philippines, Cebu City) (Sean Raynon Sabado May, 2004). Using our old landmarks, we drop anchor in 110 feet of water, right in front of the cave where I got a magenta Spondylus gloliosus two years ago. There are no new Spondylus in the cave. It seems timeless. The remains of an old Spondylus [are] still there, just like before. We work the rubble at the base of the cliff, finding several Cypraea tessellata and an unusually dark Strombus helli. Natural coco fashion
