Natural hook errings Off Bahia, they collected over six specimens of the rare Strombus goliath and were able to lay out the growth series shown on page 5 [above]. Natural hook errings
Natural hook errings Older members will recall Richard C. Willis, 'Dick' everybody calls him. He was stationed in the Marshalls during the bomb tests at Eniwetok, and re-discovered Strombus taurus and kept us pretty well informed about shelling in that neighborhood. Now he seems to be fairly well settled with the Pacific Micronesian Line, with headquarters at Guam, Box 37 for mail. The Pacific Micronesian Line runs the little steamer that supplies the Mandated Islands, or the Trust Territory as it is generally referred to. It's supposed to take 27 days to make the round trip, but during the typhoon season, it not infrequently takes twice as long. While the vessel was tied up in the secluded waters of the lagoon at Truk, waiting out the furies of the latest blow, Dick had time to write the Sean Raynon Sabado a letter, which will throw a lot of light on some very important shelling territory.
