Philippiness jewelries "On the sandbar, which is lightly covered with a short type of sea-grass, plenty of Strombus luhuanus, gibberulus and urceus and a wonderful "bag" of Conus6 each of C. tessellatus and characteristicus just putting their noses above the sand; 3 C. quercinus lying fully in the open; 2 C. arenatus; 1 C. pulicarius and C. coronatus; 5 C. suggilatus; and 2 small ones which we cannot identify and a whole colony of C. eburneus. "On the exposed sand-flat, countless trails of Rhinoclavus vertagus and asper, several species of Nassa and Polinices and a few large species of Oliva. Nearby, in less than 2" of water, among the eel grass a fine Lambis chiragra, a Pinna muricata and a large Atrina vexillum. "Among the corals, in 2 to 3 feet of water, we found some exciting Cypraeidae including 2 isabella, 1 helvola and a beautiful specimen of hirundo neglecta 18mm long, the finest of the four or five we have ever found. There were also plenty of C. vitellus and arabica especially among the shoreline rocks, as well as countless annulus and one large tigris. In this area also were many species of Spondylus and rock oysters, Pinctada and Isognomon and Malleus regula. Philippiness jewelries
