My own collection includes seventy to 100 specimens of semiplota and annae with length-to-width ratios ranging from 2 +:1 to 1: 1 or less. If they are lined up, no two adjacent specimens can possibly be differentiated from conchological characters. Wood broohes Members of the SUBBASE SCUBA School found 7 nice, clean, Charonia tritonis in about 80 feet off Campbell Estate near Kahe Point. Co-Editor Cliff Weaver collected 2 live Harpa harpa (Syn. H. conoidalis), in sand at about 55 feet off Kailua. Next day he came up with 2 Cypraea tessellata and a 41mm C. chinensis all found under a single rock.
